What is the difference between concrete and natural stone pavers?
Concrete pavers are manufactured, budget-friendly and available in many colours. Natural stone is quarried, unique in pattern and texture, and commands a premium. Stone typically lasts longer but costs 2–3× more for supply. Both require proper base preparation.

This calculator produces an estimate based on current Australian paver supply and laying rates. It is not a binding quote — your paver will confirm the final price after assessing the job.
GST handling: All estimates include 10% Australian GST. ABN-registered pavers and landscapers must charge GST if annual turnover exceeds $75,000.

Paver supply cost
Area in m² is multiplied by the supply rate for the selected paver material — concrete, clay, natural stone, travertine or porcelain.

Area is multiplied by the base laying rate plus any surcharges for pattern complexity and cutting difficulty.

Area is multiplied by the base prep rate — sand overlay, compacted road base or concrete bedding depending on soil and traffic.
