Common questions

What others asks before signing up?

How much does a financial planner cost in Australia?
Initial Statement of Advice fees typically range from $2,000 to $6,500 for standard advice, rising to $10,000–$15,000+ for complex multi-entity situations involving SMSFs, trusts or company structures. Ongoing advice runs $3,500–$6,500 a year depending on complexity. This calculator gives you an instant estimate — your financial planner confirms the final fee after reviewing your circumstances.
How accurate is this financial planning fee calculator?
It uses real Australian fee benchmarks for SOA preparation, ongoing service, portfolio reviews and superannuation advice, adjusted for portfolio size and complexity. It's a price indication only — your financial planner confirms the final figures after reviewing your circumstances.
Does the estimate include GST?
Yes. All fees are shown GST-inclusive at the Australian rate of 10%, so the total you see is the total you can expect.
What does a Statement of Advice (SOA) cover?
An SOA is a personalised financial plan covering your goals, risk profile, investment strategy, superannuation, insurance needs and recommended actions. It's a legal requirement under Australian financial services law before a financial planner can implement advice.
Can I add this calculator to my own website?
Yes — embed it on WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix or Shopify with one snippet, or use the free hosted page if you don't have a site.
What do I get when someone uses my calculator?
A full lead: their name, phone, email, portfolio bracket, complexity and the fee estimate they saw — plus a branded PDF copy in your inbox, ready to follow up.
I don't have a website — can I still use it?
Yes. Every calculator gets a free hosted quote page with your branding and a shareable link for your Google profile, socials or emails.
Is Leadkit really free?
Yes. Free lets you add up to 3 calculators to your website and receive 10 leads per month — no credit card. Every lead beyond the cap is still captured and held for you; upgrading to Pro ($29/mo) opens them all retroactively and removes the cap.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You get an embed code (one line of HTML). Paste it into your website builder — Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, or any custom site. That's it.
How accurate are the price estimates?
You configure the calculator formulas to match your actual pricing. Leadkit provides the framework; you set the numbers. Estimates can be as detailed or as rough as you like.
What happens with lead data?
All lead data is stored securely in your workspace. You own it. We never sell or share your leads with anyone.
Can I use Leadkit as an agency for multiple clients?
Yes — our Agency plan lets you create and manage separate workspaces for each of your clients, all from one dashboard.
What's the difference between the plans?
Free: up to 3 calculators, 10 leads/month (over-cap leads held + locked until upgrade). Pro: unlimited leads, unlimited calculators, white-label, branded email sending, analytics, email templates. Agency: everything in Pro plus multi-workspace management.

How it works

How this financial planning fee estimate is calculated

Each estimate starts with a base fee for the selected advice type, then adjusts for portfolio size and situation complexity. Implementation costs and optional investment management fees are added where applicable, then GST is applied. It produces an estimate, not a binding quote — your financial planner confirms the final figures after reviewing your circumstances.

GST handling: All estimates are shown GST-inclusive at the Australian rate of 10%.

  1. Select the advice type

Each advice type has a base fee — initial SOA, ongoing service, portfolio review or superannuation-only advice — reflecting the typical scope and compliance work involved.

  2. Adjust for portfolio and complexity

The base fee is multiplied by a portfolio-size factor and a complexity factor to reflect the additional analysis, documentation and compliance requirements of larger or multi-entity situations.

    advice_fee = base_fee × portfolio_factor × complexity_factor
  3. Add implementation and management

Implementation costs cover account openings, fund switches and trade execution. Optional investment management applies an annual percentage of assets under management.

    + implementation_cost + investment_mgmt_fee
  4. Apply GST

GST is added at the Australian rate of 10% to produce the total year-1 cost.

    total = subtotal × 1.1

Fees are primarily driven by complexity and portfolio size rather than location, though CBD practices in Sydney and Melbourne may charge a premium for high-net-worth advisory services.
